Held over Tuesday 5 March – Thursday 7 March, the SMPTE Conference presents the leading global and local industry leaders across the media, broadcast, movie, and streaming industries and is brought to you by our conference partner AWS.

Hear directly from those shaping the implementation of technology from the camera through all the media ecosystem directly to the viewer and listener. Join us to participate in the debates, the knowledge sharing and the showcasing of what is innovating how we inform and entertain audiences.

Sessions

The SMPTE Conference has been crafted to include the topics media professionals, technologists and engineers have asked for. With three days of sessions, we are covering a range of topics and feature both global and local speakers to share their insights and experience.

The program covers sessions across media sustainability, remote production, security, automated and artificial intelligence, broadcast tech, visual graphics, cloud virtual production and the business of media.

At the core of the conference will be the papers and presentations that have been proposed by members and the industry engineering and technologists. These presentations will share the problem solving and advanced engineering that is driving the advances in media, streaming, movies, and production.

• The Third Floor – the world’s leading visualization studio join us direct from LA with an amazing demo of the secrets of creating Avatar & Marvel blockbuster effects and so much more.
• Hollywood LIVE – Ground-breaking LIVE session between Sydney and the Hollywood SMPTE section with a very lively panel of LA guests
• Next Generation Professionals – A single day dedicated to sessions to bring young professionals, students, and industry expertise together for practical connections, career linkages and insights of the 21^st century media professional led by Doxia Brownlow and Zali Shepherd from Tabcorp.
